oceanside geocaching

I just spent a week in Oceanside Ca. My wife and I did some caching during the trip. It was nice to be albe to walk from our condo and cache in the city, and along the beach. Once again the creativity of geocachers has impressed me. On cache was in a parking garage, but the woman who set it up, wrote the cache up as a hunt on a pirate ship. Another cache was some electrical conduit pieces place strategically next to an electrical control box. painted in the same color it was hard to detect. I have decided that all micros should have a hint with them. It's hard enough to find them and not having a hint often makes it impossible when there are a thousand places they can be.

Geocaching on Vacation

One of my favorite times to geocache is on vacation. Getting to locations that one would otherwise never know about is what geocaching is all about. My wife and I recently traveled to San Diego. While there we visited the zoo. A multicache has been place to give a guided tour of the zoo culminating with the cache outside the zoo near the parking lot. We saw the entire zoo without having to think about how we were going to walk and tour the zoo. Thanks to the Speis for setting this up.
